The Problem with the Rainbow Bridge

If you’ve ever lost an animal, you’ve heard of the Rainbow Bridge — it’s the story we ,who have loved and lost little pieces of our souls, share in our grief to ease a pain of separation that often feels too big to hold. But when my long-haired chihuahua Byron died unexpectedly at a routine vet visit, I found no comfort in that story. He would have found no comfort in that story. So my sister and I had to come up with a new one.

If you’ve ever loved a chihuahua, you understand the daily spice and opinions and sass they deliver with the greatest joy and gusto. And perhaps your ’wawa is like mine — they’d never settle for peaceable green fields full of everything they could desire when they could be up to mischief and bossing around others to get their way instead.

So here is where my chihuahua loves have gone. I’ve always found the greatest comfort in stories, and I hope you find your own solace and love within this series.
